Really liked Fugitive!
Manx is a Zetithian fugitive with a feline gene that gives him remarkable sexual powers. He has been in hiding in the remote jungles of Barada Seven ever since being marked for extermination by the violent Nedwuts. Artist Drusilla arrives on Barada Seven, enticed only by the promise of finding a nature paradise there. But she discovers a wildlife she wasn't expecting when she encounters Manx. Reckless with desire for the beautiful Earth woman, Manx risks his life to win her as his mate. It's only a matter of time until the Nedwuts find them, but it will take all of Manx and Drusilla's passion, skill, and ingenuity to survive.
Fugitive is a sci-fi romance meets erotica romance and is brilliantly written by Cheryl Brooks. The background to the story is about a breed of warriors who are a mix between cats and humans and their planet has been blown up and any survivors are hunted down and killed and no-one really knows why. The Cat Star Chronicles is all about the few warrior survivors of the war who fought together and were all sold into slavery and how they've survived since, found their mates and are trying to find each other again.
Fugitive is by far my favourite book out of The Cat Star Chronicles. It had everything you could want, mystery, romance, sex, great fight scenes, and good friends.
Fugitive starts off quite simply, Drusilla needing to get away from Earth as her latest boyfriend actually turned out to be gay so she flys off to Barada Seven to paint some exotic birds and get some rest and instead meets the exotic Manx who is determined to bed her. Then everything sort of spirals out of control as the Nedwuts arrive on Barada Seven and Manx disappears into the forest and Drusilla doesn't know if she'll ever see him again. But of course Jack, Cat, Tisana, Leo and there many children arrive to save the day.
Fugitive makes an interesting read and continues with a great series.
