I really wanted to love Shoot to Thrill but I just couldn't. It's a great, addictive and has lots of turns that I didn't expect or see coming. But I just couldn't see Kick and Rainie really sticking it out together without all the action because really Rainie only kept throwing herself at Kick every time he left her alone for a few hours and she thought he wasn't coming back. Kick even at one point said it was all the adrenaline from her being scared etc.
Also there were two other story's going on in Shoot to Thrill, Rainie's best friend Gina, who eventually ends up kidnapped by the CIA and you don't really know what's going to happen to her (and I didn't like her, she was too easy) and Alex, Kick's friend who he thought was tortured and killed but was held captive instead, he'd been having 'visions' of a redhead who was keeping him sane. I don't want to give anything away about Alex and his situation but he's been having visions of his fiance's best friend.
I plan to read the second book but only so it will close any of the unanswered questions from Shoot to Thrill about Gina and Alex and their circumstances otherwise I wouldn't bother with the rest of this series as it's not badly written but it just doesn't appeal to me.
