Super-Being Exterminator Kitty Katt and the Alpha Centaurian she loves, Jeff Martini, should be finalizing their wedding plans. But that was before she discovers Jeff is in line to become Emperor back on his home world. Kitty knows she is everything a royal family wouldn't approve of, and is bracing herself for the worst. As it turns out, the royal family is just the beginning. Especially when extraterrestrial Amazonian terrorists are determined to start and end Kitty and Jeff's nuptial festivities with a bang.
I’ve loved and adored the previous books in the Katherine “Kitty” Katt series (although book one has been my absolute favourite) I was so happy to get my hands on Alien in the Family. I’ve truly enjoyed each adventure Ms Koch has taken us on with Kitty and her gang of friendly aliens but Alien in the Family was even more of a rollercoaster than the previous two books and I adored it all that more for it because I felt it worked really well and I was laughing so hard at some parts that I had tears coming out of my eyes and getting really funny looks from my boyfriend, who I kept having to explain everything to. Alien in the Family is a truly brilliant third book in the series, Kitty is now having to deal with all the wedding details for her and Jeff’s wedding and is having the major problem of finding ‘the dress’ and dealing with other aliens coming to test Kitty as she’s about to marry into alien royalty and then there’s those Amazon women who seem to want Jeff dead. As usual nothing is ever easy, simple or quiet for Kitty to deal with but I think it really works because Kitty does seem the type of character who attracts trouble. Some of my favourite parts of Alien in the Family included the Poofies, James organising Kitty’s wedding and the continuous growing relationship between Kitty, Jeff, Christopher, James, Paul, ACE, Chuck and the rest of the gang. Alien in the Family provides a laugh every other minute and keeps you totally gripped within the storyline and the adventure Kitty and her friends take you on.
“We went with the latter today. I hated having to be someplace on time, it took away so many potential orgasms.”
“Okay. So, food for me and a dead cow for my Poofies. Should make the waiter’s night.”
“You’re the human I’m staying near, you know.”
“But a knight’s job is to protect his queen.”
Overall, I am so in love with Alien in the Family, I think Ms Koch did a smashing job and I’m super excited for December to get here soon so I can read Alien Proliferation and find out where the story will take us next. I highly recommend this series and would suggest reading this series in order. It is fast becoming one of my all time favourite series!
